True North Attitude
We're Joe and Jenny Hohner, a documentary photography and creative non-fiction writing team based in Leelanau County, Michigan.
Since 2019 we've been exploring by camper van, from the American West to Iceland, and more recently aboard Blue Wander, our Nordic Tug. Along the way we've photographed the streets of Cuba and New York City, and we keep coming home to the dunes, farms, and back roads of Leelanau.
Most of our work is personal: four photo books so far, plus the stories and galleries on this site. Now and then we donate our time to projects we find meaningful.
Joe handles most of the camera work; Jenny is the writer and editor who brings the stories to life.
